I just came back from Anime North 2012 in Toronto, Ontario Canada. I flew out with a big group of friends on Thursday and stayed until today, monday. I had a fantastic weekend and I figured I would do my con report before I either forgot because the weekend was such a blur or got too busy getting ready for Anime Expo in California.
As I said we flew out on Thursday morning, and got to Toronto in time for a late lunch and then check in at the Radisson. It’s a fabulous hotel, especially when you have a large group. We did Thursday night pre-reg and got our tickets after only waiting for a little bit in line. I wore a black wig and my Panda romper on Thursday and Friday since I can’t really wear contacts at the moment.
On friday I set up my half of the art table I was shareing with Jessica, and I was selling stuff before the hall even opened. I was so blown away, I sold almost everything by the end of the day. On Saturday I was at the art table from 10 - 1 and then I went and changed into my Perona costume from One Piece! I went to the One Piece shoot and then to supper, I had so much fun. Jessica was such a fabulous partner, it was so nice to have someone to talk to while sitting there. I swear I smiled so much those two days my cheeks were hurting!
The days went by so quickly, and the weather was so nice. A lot of people got really bad sunburns. I ended up buying one small figure and some manga. I didn’t cosplay on Sunday since it was so hot all weekend, I was really dehydrated too so it didn’t help. I’m hopeing to start concentrating a bit more on cosplay instead of having it a second priority to art table merchandise, I really want to start upping my cosplay.
My next convention is Anime Expo in Califonia! I’m really excited because I’ve never been to LA before and I can’t wait to see it C:

Anime Detour came and went a couple weeks ago, it was on March 30th - April 1st at the Doubletree in Minneapolis. I usually go for something to do, and had a lot more fun then last time I went. I got sick again but not enough to keep me in bed. I only cosplayed the first day and then was in my Panda romper with my new wig I bought there for the rest of the weekend. I didn’t get an artist table but I had some commissions for people so I could still afford to go.
We had some trouble crossing the border into the U.S, and then on the way to Minneapolis we got a flat tire. It took us a lot longer then we would have liked to get there but the hotel was super fancy. My boyfriend was able to come from Calfornia so it was really nice. He cosplayed as Chuck to go with my Panty from Panty and Stocking~♥ I didn’t take as many cosplay pictures as last year, but there was a ton of One Piece cosplayers which made me really happy. If I do go next year I am going to wear something from One Piece C:
Next con is Anime North! I actually do have a table there, and will be making a new costume for it as well. It’ll be a great time, see you all there C:

Con season has begun! Well, sort of. Ai-Kon hosted a small social on Februrary 11th - Winterfest Social: Come be our valentine! It had a 300 people limit so it was just something small and fun to go to while people wait for their next convention (which for most of the people who went there, it’s in July)
I wore my new Panty cosplay and it was great! Although I spilt hot chocolate all over me at the end of the night and slipped in my heels (No, I wasn’t drunk. This was an all ages event) I suck at walking in high heels, and they arn’t even that high! I still had fun with my friends. I won a door prize; the premium edition of Arakawa: Under the Bridge. It was a good night.
Next event is Anime Detour! I (sort of) have a table, so I’ll be bringing a little bit of merchandise with me, as well as a big pony plush for the art auction C: See you all there! ♥

I’ve recently came back from Nebraskon in Omaha, NB, and I had such a good time. Despite the 20 hours on the road, I think it was well worth the drive. The dealers room was amazing, and everyone was so nice. The vendors co-ordinator especially, she let me and my friends change tables so we could sit next to each other. That helped a lot. She also let me set up Thursday night since we got there around 7.
We had a poolside room for no extra charge, and even though the heater was broken in the pool the first night and the sauna was broken all weekend, it was nice when we did get to swim on Saturday. They had a water resort as well but we didn’t get to go to it.
I’m hopeing the lack of good cosplay was becase I was in the vendors room the whole weekend and I didn’t get to walk around much. I’m assuming it’s because I was at my table, I didn’t get many pictures in general because of it either. We had a private photoshoot for my friend and I when we cosplayed Scanty and Kneesocks, I’ll be posting those photos on my dA when we get them sent to us!
I sold a fair amount, it was enough to pay for my trip and have some money left over so I’m definatly thinking of going back next year. It’ll al depend on my friends, they’re not sure if they’re going to go back and I can’t afford to go alone. And I hate driving.
So that about sums up my weekend! I got to return home to snow so that kind of sucks, but now I get to relax for a bit before I start cleaning and sewing again.

Canadian Central Comic Con! It went great this weekend, I had a lot more fun then pervious years. Seriously considering getting an art table for it next year too. I didn’t come back on Sunday, I wasn’t feeling well friday night and I had enough by the end of saturday. If I had been feeling better and Nebraskon wasn’t so close I would have stayed the whole weekend.
There were some pretty great costumes, but I didn’t really get to go around the convention much. I went around once on friday, and I got up once to use the washroom on saturday and that was it.
I was a little dissapointed I only sold one human type plush, but it was a really different crowd then anime conventions. I’m still considering going back next year as an artist though!
Photos I took this past Saturday for Hetalia Day 2011! I had a lot of fun and it was a nice break from sewing for C4 and Nebraskon~
Baking fun times for my friends bridal shower~ The colors were pink and yellow since she’s Korean and it apparently brings luck to the bride! I made cupcakes and molded chocolates~
Photoshoot at King’s Park here in Winnipeg for a birthday. I had never been there before and we got lost on the way, but I really enjoyed it and it’s a beautiful park. I’ll definatly have to go back for future shoots~
Assiniboine Park photoshoot~ Lots of fun, it was great to see everyone again :3 I didn’t finish Bell in time, so I wore Tsunade~
